Ao Li is a set and production designer based in New York and Shanghai. His designs in the U.S. include: Kiss (Yale Repertory Theatre), All My Fathers (La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club), Airline Highway (Fordham Theatre), Lucretia (HERE Arts Center), Scraps (Flea Theatre), Real (The Tank), As You Like It (Columbia University), Waiting for Godot (Alfred University), Where is My Maple Town (Theatre Row), 'Tis Pity She's a Whore (Yale School of Drama), Titus Andronicus (Yale School of Drama), Yale Cabaret credits include: The Apple Tree, Xander Xyst, Dragon:1 and The Styx Songs among others. Recent designs in China include: Alphaville (Nanjing Intl’ Exhibition Center), Reborn (National Tour), Precursor (Shanghai Theatre Academy and National Tour), £¥€$ 2.0 (One Museum Place), Li Zi-Zhou in 1929 (Mei Lan-Fang Theatre), Sherlock Holmes: Secrets of the Anderson Family (National Tour), Once Upon A Time in Our Youth (Theater Above), Of Mice And Men (Drum Tower West Theater), The Door of Zanzibar (Jiangnan Theatre), Forever Love (Pudong Grand Theatre), A Summer’s Day (Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center), Blind (Shanghai International Arts Festival), 15th FIRST International Film Festival Awards Ceremony etc. His artwork has received three solo exhibitions including Expression, 2009 and Childhood. He holds an MFA in Set Design from Yale School of Drama and a BFA in Stage Design from Shanghai Theatre Academy. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University Theatre Program He is also the receiver of Donald and Zorca Oenslager Travel Fellowship Award in Design, Richard Harrison Senie Scholarship and Donald M. Oenslager Scholarship in Stage Design.
旅美舞台/演出设计师，师从当代舞台设计泰斗李名觉先生，以全额奖学金获得耶鲁大学戏剧学院舞台设计硕士学位，本科毕业于上海戏剧学院舞美设计专业。现任纽约福特汉姆大学戏剧系客座教授。 国内主要设计作品包括：《重生》;《前哨》;《金钱世界2.0》;《Alphaville》；《李子洲在1929》;《福尔摩斯:安德森家的秘密》;《对不起，我忘了》;《人鼠之间》;《致爱》;《一个夏日》;《亡目》等。 美国主要设计作品包括：《吻》;《都是我父亲》;《航空公路》;《卢克茜娅》;《残渣》;《真实》;《枫梓乡》;《皆大欢喜》;《等待戈多》以及《暴风雨》。 曾举办三次个人画展，包括《表情》,《我的2009》,《童年》。
